My name is Lisa Carracedo Barbet. I have over 15 years work experience in hair and Prosthetics. I have worked across live action box office hits, Theatre, TV and commercials. I have helped create mythical creatures from Jim Henson’s ‘The dark Crystal’ such as; little green library dweller ‘The pluff’m’ to a realistic fully hair punched bald cap, created for Kevin Bacon on X-men first class for use during his WW2 scenes.
I learnt hair punching at Madam Tussauds, where standards are extremely high, every single figure perfectly matched to their celebrities. I mainly specialise in Hair punching but, have extensive knowledge in Postiche and wig making.
I thoroughly enjoy problem solving and revel in creating new techniques, materials and processes to bring hair and fur effects to life. An example of this is when I worked on ‘Guardians Of the galaxy’, every different race and tribe of alien needed a distinguishing hair style to complement character prosthetic looks.
